Learn to Surf

Lombok has long been a world class surfing destination for experienced surfers. The southern coastline offers a range of awesome reef breaks that lure surfers from all over the world, yet Lombok also offers plenty of waves that are just right for out right beginners.

Adventure Lombok provides experienced local surf instructors with a great knowledge of local conditions. They are patient, passionate guides who will help you get started on the right foot. Not only will you help keep the locals employed you will also learn about Lomboks rich culture.

We also cater for “hard core” surfers as well. If you are an advanced surfer our experienced guides can use their local knowledge to get you to where the surf is working- so you don’t waste your time finding the breaks.

Learn to surf sessions.

Learn to surf classes are primarily held at Mangsit or Pendanan Beach on the beautiful coastline north of Senggigi Beach.  We provide state of the art NSP foam boards , booties and helmets so you can get on your feet safely. Our sessions last 3 hrs which allows you time to process information, consolidate skills and have a rest when you need to! And importantly- you will never have more than 4 people in your class, which allows plenty of time for one –on one tuition.

Learn to:

• identify dangerous currents and stay safe in the water.

• Negotiate surf zones

• select good waves so you will have the best chance to stand up!

• Position yourself in realation to on coming waves

• Good techniques to get you on your feet-fast!

• Get an understanding of the different surfboards available .

Duration: 3 hours  Starts: There is usually one scheduled lesson per day on the high tide. We will contact you the day before your lesson to confirm the start time.

Includes: Hotel pick up / drop off, transport to the beach, surfboard, booties, helmet, rashvest, water, fresh fruit snacks.

A minimum of 2 people are required for the session to run.

Cost: per person

Your session will be totally tailored to your skill level and experience. Your experienced local surf Instructor will give you one on one tuition, concentartating on your technique so it will be easier to advance to harder waves later. The fastes way to build confidence and correct technique.

Duration: 4 hours  Starts: There is usually one sceduled tour per day on nthe high tide. We will contact you the day before your lesson to confirm the start time.

Includes: Hotel pick up / drop off, transport to the beach, surfboard, booties, helmet, rashvest, water, fresh fruit snacks.

No minimum numbers.

Cost: $AUD 60 per person. 

Kuta and the awesome southern coast: Intermediate to Advanced

Your local surfing guide will pick you up from your hotel and head to where ever the surf is working on the southern coast, near the surfing hub of Kuta. Your guide will ask you about your skill level and exactly what kind of break you are after. World famous breaks such as Gerapuk, Are Goling, Seger Beach, Mawi, Ekas Bay all await you. For hardcore surfers, Banko Banko offers some of the best tube riding you will ever experience when the conditions are right!. Your guide will arrange boat transfers to the breaks and provide priceless local knowledge on swell, wind and tides.

You must be an experienced surfer. Talk to your guide about your skill level before surfing.

Duration: 1 day or more (see table below)

Includes: Pick up/drop off from your Hotel (Kuta based), road transport to and from the breaks, outrigger boat to the surf breaks where appropriate, experienced local surf guide, 2 sessions per day.

Does not include: Hotel fees. Please contact us for your accommadation requirements, meals and drinks, transport to and from Sengiggi and surfboard hire (contact us if you need to hire a board)

Adventure Lombok head quarters is located just 20 mt from the beach in the Art Market adjacent to the Sheraton Resort. We have both fibreglass boards and soft boards for hire and sale. Fast turnaround ding repair is also available.
